The Over 50 Sisterhood Community brings women together from around the world through our private Facebook community, while also creating opportunities to build genuine, face-to-face friendships through local catch ups, community events and shared experiences.

Why I started the Over 50 Sisterhood

A few years ago, I found myself in a place I never imagined I would be. From the outside my life probably looked fine. Inside, I felt completely lost.

After 17 years of raising my three children on my own, they’d all grown up — and it hit me harder than I ever imagined. I kept asking, “Who am I now?” I was navigating perimenopause without understanding how much it was affecting me, and there were days I genuinely felt like my life was over.

Asking for help changed everything. As I began talking openly, women started sharing their stories — and I heard the same words again and again: “I thought I was the only one.” That was the moment I knew this community needed to exist.

Not because women need fixing — because women deserve connection. My goal was never to build the biggest community for women over 50. It’s to build one of the most trusted.
